My 14 yr old son has celiac and finding products a kid likes is difficult. He likes all the schar products. I have also found using a corn based spaghetti pasta does better than an all brown rice spagetti. He says it is "most real". I rinse it after cooking (all gf pastas do better for somereason if you rinse them after cooking/straining). With all gf pasta there is a fine line between "al dente-not cooked-and overcooking" , but I found schar has more time to forgive!

This is the best gluten-free spaghetti I've found. Previously we had to make two pots of pasta -- one for the 1/2 of the house that is gluten-intolerant and another for the "normal" folks. Everyone loves this pasta, so now we make ONE pot and everyone's happy.

I've tried many GF noodles. I was a fan of Tinkyada until I tried this Schar's product. Everyone in the family (gluten free and not gluten free) found Schar's to taste most like 'real' spaghetti noodles. The color is like an egg noodle, but the taste is like regular noodles. I also like that it takes less time to cook than Tinkyada.

I am allergic to wheat and thought i would die, Italian food was my favortie. All rice pastas are mushy and taste much like health food. This one is far better than all of the rest. The first time I had it, I actually had to check the package to make sure it was Rice and not Wheat. My husband even ate it(without knowing) and didn't notice anything. I would recommend to anyone. It is also half the price on amazon with no shipping so it pays to buy it online. Also, make sure to follow the cooking instructions and rinse very well to get all of the starch off.

Since being diagnosed with Celiac's disease I have had a hard time adjusting to the gluten free lifestyle. This pasta really helps. In fact, I like it better than "regular" pasta! And that is high praise as I have not been able to say that I like any gluten free products more than their gluten-filled counter parts (but I haven't tried all the products yet!) This pasta has a creamy, smooth texture. It is wonderful!

I tried this product out of the blue because I live in Japan and am not able to `shop around`. I basically hit gold on my first try. The consistency of this pasta is suprisingly good, and really, it is NOT MUSHY. Follow the instructions i.e cook for 16 minutes then rinse under the tap. It comes out perfect every time. It doesnt have a particular strong taste therefore kids wont be able to tell the difference, I couldn`t either. For those who need to avoid wheat this is a perfect substitute. This product comes in a pack of pack of 12, so please bear this in mind when you place your order.

Celebrate Holidays Eating Healthy and Delicious Vegan Dishes

In our everyday lives, we put together meal plans all the time. Whether it's for a nice dinner to serve in-laws, quick bagged lunches for your kids, or nightly dinners for the family, we always have to piece together healthy, balanced meals.
Whether you're heavily involved in carpools and PTA meetings, or you have an important career to fuel and support, it's often hard to find time to cook. By the time you get home and actually have a spare minute, the last thing you want to do is actually think about what to cook. While takeout might be easier, it gets expensive in a hurry, and it almost never tastes as good as homemade.
Even though the internet is stocked with amazing vegan recipes and you have a shelf full of vegan cookbooks, when there's little time, you need more than a cookbook or a recipe. You need a plan.
We don't want to have to pry open a few cookbooks every night to come up with one creative, nutritious, and delicious meal. We don't want it to be gourmet or difficult, but just simple, whole foods put together in a delicious fashion. We don't want to stare into the fridge looking for inspiration, we want to know up front what we need for the week.

To make a balanced vegan meal, keep these pointers in mind:
Half your meal should be a mixture of vegetables and fruits, and the more varied and colorful, the better
One quarter of your plate should be whole grains like quinoa, millet, oats, wheat, or rice
One quarter of your plate should be beans, giving yourself a variety each day
I don't think it's absolutely necessary for most people to worry about portion size, as long as they take their time eating and really think about whether or not they need to keep eating. For preparation first of all make the small pieces of fish. In a cup add coconut milk, fish sauce, shrimp paste, chili powder, cumin, ground coriander, and brown sugar. Mix well and pour over the fish. Now add remaining ingredients to make a thick paste. now pat this paste on fish cakes. And put these cakes about 10-15 min. in freezer. On the other hand heat the oil in the frying pan till it start sizzle when splashed with water. Now put cakes in the oil and fried until its color changes into golden brown. Garnish cakes with sliced cocumber, Thai chilli sauce, fresh coriander and with lime juice. Served with rice.
